EQUIPPING
EQUIPPED
FOR MINISTRY
Our goal is to equip both leaders and congregants for personal discipleship and intentional helping relationships that point people to Jesus. We seek to cultivate a church culture where individuals are trained to listen well, respond with love, and offer care rooted in the hope of Christ.
EQUIPPED
TO COUNSEL
We view biblical counselling as an extension of personal discipleship. Jesus’ Great Commission (Matthew 28:16–20) calls believers to make disciples, guiding them in truth and applying biblical wisdom to all areas of life.
Designed to prepare lay biblical counsellors, the Equipped to Counsel training program offers deep, practical instruction through an eight-month bi-weekly course. Participants dive into the curriculum from the Association of Biblical Counselors, engaging in approximately seven hours of weekly reading and writing assignments to fully integrate the material.
This training is ideal for anyone seeking to enhance their ability to provide biblical care through discipleship, mentoring, and counselling. Participants who complete the course may pursue formal certification and may be invited to join Central’s Care & Counselling Team.
Before you apply, please ensure you thoroughly read through the FAQ section below so you fully understand the course requirements, time commitments, and expectations.
